Pipipong v0.9.5 for Mac is available · Apple silicon · macOS 14.0+

GETTING STARTED

Complete your first low-risk task in five minutes.

Start with a read-only task, understand each permission, and inspect the result before moving to work that can change files.

Six visible steps

Begin with the smallest useful scope.

Nothing in this guide asks you to delete, overwrite or publish anything. Complete the read-only task first, then decide whether a wider task is appropriate.

  1. 01

    Install and open

Open the DMG, drag the app to Applications, eject it, then launch Voice Router Pet from Applications.

  2. 02

    Meet the panel

Open Pip, choose text or deliberately start recording, and use the task timeline to see the current state.

  3. 03

    Choose an execution mode

Begin with Read only. Ask before act adds a plan-and-approval step before a bounded project write turn.

  4. 04

    Grant only what is needed

macOS prompts appear only when a feature or task actually needs that permission.

  5. 05

    Run the first task

Use the read-only prompt below and verify that no move, rename, overwrite or delete is proposed.

  6. 06

    Inspect the result

Review the plan, timeline, final response and any changed-file review before accepting further work.

Permission guide

These are separate macOS permissions. A feature being available does not mean every permission is required.

Current execution methods

Choose from what the public build supports today, not a future integration roadmap.

Codex

Required

Full fixed-project and computer task execution through the signed-in Codex App Server.

Local execution

Limited

Local speech transcription, pet runtime and bounded app-owned preparation; not a general autonomous computer agent.

API providers

Beta

Separately configured, origin-validated providers handle narrower text tasks with the user's own credentials.

Other AI clients

Not supported

No blanket claim; only integrations verified in the current build appear here.

Your first safe task

Attach the exact folder and choose Read only first. Then copy the prompt into Pip and check that the scope and plan contain no write operation.

Attach the scope before you paste the task

  1. Drag the Downloads folder into the task composer, or use the attachment control. Confirm that Downloads is the only attached item.
  2. If Pip shows a folder-scope card, choose the top-level-only scope (仅扫描顶层) or a narrower subfolder. Review the displayed scope, then choose Allow once on the attachment access request.
  3. Set Execution mode to Read only before sending anything.
  4. Paste the prompt below. Before it runs, verify that the scope names only Downloads and that the task interpretation or plan contains no move, rename, overwrite or delete operation. Decline or Abort if it does.
Please only read the Downloads folder, list the 10 most recent files, and suggest project-based categories. Do not move, rename, overwrite or delete any file.

What you should see

  4. No write operations

Troubleshooting

Open only the item that matches what you see. The controls below use the names shown by the current Mac build.

The app will not open

Confirm macOS 14+, Apple silicon and that the app was moved to Applications. Keep Gatekeeper enabled.

A macOS permission was denied

Open Privacy & Security, review the exact permission, and enable it only if the task needs it.

Voice input is silent

Check Microphone permission and input level, or use text input instead.

The executor is not connected

Open Settings and refresh the Codex sign-in or verify the selected provider configuration.

The task is waiting for approval

Read the exact scope. Choose Allow once only if it matches your task, or decline it.

The task should stop

Use Abort for the active task. Stop recording only ends microphone capture.

Uninstall Pipipong

Quit the app, remove Voice Router Pet from Applications, and remove its local app data only if you no longer need settings or local packages.
